Christie Brinkley & Billy Joel

Once among the heavyweight couples in Hollywood, Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel were married for nearly a decade. They first met on the island of St. Barths in the Caribbean back in 1983 while on vacation and dated afterward. In 1985, they got married on a yacht in New York Harbor. Together, they shared one daughter named Alexa Ray. Many thought that they were meant for one another. Unfortunately, they called it quits in 1994. A variety of reasons were cited, including Brinkley’s move to the West Coast and Joel’s busy touring schedule.

Today, Brinkley and Joel have subsequent romantic relationships since their split. Since 2015, Joel has been married to Alexis Roderick, who is an equestrian and a former executive at investment firm Morgan Stanley, and have two children together. As for Brinkley, she remains single after her messy breakup with architect Peter Cook in 2008. Interestingly, Alexa followed in her father’s footsteps as a musician, while keeping a close relationship with her parents, as did Brinkley and Joel to each other.
