Being a celebrity wife is difficult, but being a celebrity ex-wife is even more difficult, especially for Mary Lee Harvey, who was married to Steve Harvey for a long time. Several well-credited marriages have ended in breakups. Sometimes the breakup is amicable, and the relationship survives, but more often than not, the split is not a bouquet of roses. Steve Harvey’s divorces are no exception, particularly his breakup with Mary Lee.

In 1989, Mary Lee met Steve while still working as a stand-up comedian in Arlington, Texas. The former couple hit it off right away and fell in love at first sight and eventually getting married in 1996. The pair were together for a while and were blessed with a son by the name of Wynton in 1997. Like any marriage, their relationship had issues, and despite staying together for a long time, they filed for separation in 2005. Although Steve and Marjorie Harvey’s separation was difficult, it was the best decision they could have made.
