All 6 Friends Cast Members Reveal Their Favorite Episodes

I’ll be there for you, and you’ll be there for me too — This famous line was heard all over the world and the famous sitcom Friends can definitely take credit for the song’s massive influence on pop culture. The cast of the iconic hit TV show accompanied us through the good times and bad, and give us innumerable quirky one liners and unforgettable episodes. But did you know that each cast member once shared their most memorable experience during their time on set? Indeed, they hold these memories close to their hearts up to this day. Here are some of the cast member’s favorite moments on set.

1.Jennifer Aniston – Rachel Green – The One with the Prom Video

Jeninifer Aniston had a thing for flashbacks, and also for Rachel’s pre-nose job days. The actress loved to dress up and give each scene more depth and character development. Flashback episodes surely showed the preppier and spoiled teenage years of her character, highlighting her long term friendship with Monica Geller. It also added to the bittersweet relationship she had with Ross Geller, her on-screen romance. This overshadowed the many heartbreaks he got while with Rachel, and made everything at present overflow with all kinds of emotion.

2.Courtnex Cox – Monica Geller – The One with the Blackout

The degree of irony and laughter this episode brought to audiences was definitely one for the books. This episode was vital to Rachel and Ross’ storyline as it highlighted how their feelings for each other started to bloom. Moreover, the scene where Ross was piling up the courage to profess his feelings for Rachel only to get mauled by a cat was particularly difficult to shoot, not least because David Schwimmer, the actor who plays Ross, is extremely allergic to cats in real life. Courtney had so much fun filming the whole episode because of that one hilarious scene where she had to help her co-star get rid of the cat while he frantically shouted in a panicked state.

3.Lisa Kudrow – Phoebe Buffay – The One with the Halloween Party

Who could forget Phoebe’s evil twin sister Ursula? And even more so, the unfortunate crushes she developed for Ursula’s suitors. The degree of star power the show got when it came to guest stars was unfathomable. They even got Sean Penn to portray Ursula’s fiancé Eric in the episode, and during the first seconds of his appearance on the show, he slapped Lisa Kudrow’s behind. Why, you ask? You should go watch the episode. Apparently, this was Lisa’s favorite episode for a lot of reasons, mainly because it made a lot of people laugh — and the inclusion of Sean Penn was definitely a plus!

4.David Schwimmer – Ross Geller – The One with the Holiday Armadillo

Hanukkah is important and deserves much credit, too! In this episode, Ross explains to his son Ben just how important Hannukah is dressed as an Armadillo. Ben, being an avid fan of Christmas and Santa Claus, appreciated his dad’s efforts — he loves this Jewish holiday just as much as Christmas. This episode definitely struck a chord with David Schwimmer since he is Jewish in real life. He shared that he hopes that his children see the episode when they are all grown up.

5.Matthew Perry – Chandler Bing – The One with Ross’ New Girlfriend

Matthew Perry is best known for his unscripted one liners on the show, and most of his efforts remain uncut especially in the episode where his co-star Matt LeBlanc delivered one of Joey’s dim-witted lines. Now, this is where Perry can take credit for his quick wit and comedic timing. Perry improvised during the scene and replied with “OK, you have to stop the Q-tip when there’s resistance!” — one of the actor’s many original clapbacks.

6.Matt LeBlanc – Joey Tribbiani – The Last One

Matt LeBlanc was always known to be close with the crew. They were all a family, the degree of companionship they developed over the years made them as close as can be. The last episode was definitely a heart-wrenching and a heart-warming experience. The episode ended with the group in Monica’s empty apartment and them walking the halls of the complex one last time, on their way to Central Perk.
